CNNP Optoelectronics Achieves Breakthrough in Perovskite Solar Module Technology

Amoovo – The Innovation Lab Behind LoopXCell! At Amoovo, we are not just building batteries—we are engineering the future of energy. Since 2018, Amoovo Lab has been at the forefront of energy innovation, developing cutting-edge immersion-cooled batteries, inverters, and MPPT controllers that redefine efficiency, safety, and scalability. Our pioneering research has led to the creation of LoopXCell, a revolutionary energy storage and conversion system designed for maximum performance and sustainability. By integrating power conversion directly into the battery ecosystem, we eliminate unnecessary energy losses and bring next-generation energy solutions to homes, businesses, and industries.
CNNP Optoelectronics has reached a major milestone in perovskite photovoltaics with a certified power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 16.5%, as verified by TÜV SÜD. This advancement stems from innovations in cell architecture, stability, encapsulation, and manufacturing, positioning the module as a strong candidate for large-scale deployment.
Advanced Cell Design: At the core is a high-quality perovskite absorber layer, optimized for uniformity and long-term stability. A nanometer-thick Poly-4PACz self-assembled monolayer at the interface acts as a passivation layer, significantly reducing non-radiative recombination and enhancing both efficiency and stability. The module retains over 95% of its initial performance after exposure to 85°C, showcasing excellent thermal durability.
Encapsulation & Protection: To overcome perovskite’s environmental sensitivity, CNNP uses a 30 nm water–oxygen barrier via atomic layer deposition (ALD), effectively blocking moisture and oxygen. A sealed, dual-glass structure with an anti-PID design and a robust interlock mechanism offers added resistance to salt, dust, and extreme conditions. The module can operate at up to 1,500 V and endure wind speeds of 275 km/h, making it suitable for coastal and high-altitude deployments.
Innovative Manufacturing: Production is carried out in a fully automated “dark factory” with a 200 MW pilot capacity. The hands-free process enhances consistency, reduces contamination, and cuts production time by 40%, material use by 60%, and energy consumption by 80% compared to traditional silicon modules. The design also includes an adjustable wiring interface for flexible installation and improved corrosion resistance.
Sustainability Focus: The module’s lifecycle carbon footprint is ~70% lower than silicon counterparts, thanks to reduced energy and material inputs. CNNP also minimizes hazardous substances like lead, addressing key environmental and health concerns associated with perovskites.
CNNP Optoelectronics delivers a compelling blend of high efficiency, environmental resilience, and scalable, sustainable production in its latest perovskite solar module. This development marks a major step forward in commercializing next-generation solar technologies.
